Yasser Alhussain is a Partner and Head of the Banking and Finance practice in Riyadh.

Yasser has extensive experience advising on a wide range of project finance, bilateral and syndicated lending transactions as well on financial litigations. He is also an experienced litigator and has represented a large number of banks and financial institutions in their claims before Saudi Arabian courts which includes advising on what constitutes a market-first implementation of a large-scale court ordered settlement/enforcement process, under the recently adopted ‎Enforcement Law.

  • Arab National Bank, Riyadh Bank and Samba Financial Group, as the mandated lead arrangers, in relation to the SAR4.75 billion financing of the design, construction, completion and maintenance of medium and high rise towers in the King Abdullah Financial District located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
  • Saudi Tabreed, in their capacity as sponsors, on a SAR1.84 billion BOO / BOT district cooling project in Saudi Arabia
  • in relation to the financing of Jabal Sayid copper mine and concentrate plant in Saudi Arabia
  • Samba Financial Group in relation to amendments to a multi-million Saudi Riyal credit facility
  • the financiers in relation to the financing of the Abraj Al Bait Mall in Makkah
  • the international financiers of two major commercial groups in Saudi Arabia in the context of a number of defaults and restructuring issues
  • Natixis in relation to aircraft financing for National Air Services
  • Almarai Company on its acquisition of Hail Agricultural Development Company, the first ever takeover of a publicly listed company in Saudi Arabia under the Capital Market Authority regime

  • a Saudi publicly listed company in relation to the financing of its projects by a syndicate of  local banks
  • the financers of a UAE real estate developer in building a brand hotel in Dubai
  • HSBC Saudi Arabia Limited on the issuance by Saudi Bin Ladin Group (via SBG Sukuk Limited) of its third short term SAR1 billion sukuk-al-murabaha to local investors in Saudi Arabia
  • Savola Group Company on the establishment of their SAR5 billion sukuk issuance programme and the inaugural issuance of SAR1.5 billion floating rate notes thereunder. The sukuk certificates were listed on Tadawul
